Want Balanced Body Chemistry? Try Upper Cervical Care

13 Benefits Of Upper Cervical Care: Part 7

Proper balance to our body chemistry is an important aspect of good health, proper function, and reaching your potential in every area of life. There are a number of things that can upset your body chemistry such as food, alcohol, medications, the environment and pollutants that we take in with our food, water, and air. Proper body chemistry and the production of the right chemicals in the right amounts is vital to almost every activity. Scientists in the health field are realizing that many diseases, in fact, most diseases have at least some imbalance in body chemistry as a cause. Diseases, like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, are directly related to the improper production of certain chemicals. We are all aware that diabetes is caused by the body’s inability to produce an important chemical called insulin.

Aside from health issues, proper body chemistry is important to overall well-being. You cannot go to sleep at night if your body does not produce the right chemicals or if your body is producing the wrong chemicals. Threading a needle, climbing steps, buttering your bread, laughing, driving a car or just about anything else all require a certain level of balance in your body chemistry.

There are millions of glands and cells in the body that produce chemicals. Every cell in the body produces chemicals for its own use. But many of them also produce chemicals that are responsible for the functions already mentioned and thousands more that the average person does not even know about. Actually it is a pretty wonderful thought, to realize that whether or not we know anything about the thousands of chemical reactions that are taking place right this second in our bodies, they are happening and keeping us alive and well. So what causes an upset or an imbalance of your body chemistry beside the things we mentioned earlier? One thing, the thing that attracts the attention of the upper cervical care, is nerve interference from head/neck misalignment. For these body chemicals to be produced, and released when needed, they must receive the proper messages through the nerve system.

You can imagine how important communication is if there are thousands of glands and cells producing all these chemicals. Any interruption in the communication system and the body just cannot do its job to properly produce chemicals and balance body chemistry. That is what nerve interference can do, it can disrupt communication resulting in an imbalance in body chemistry. Can you live that way? Well sure but not as well as you can with well-balanced body chemistry. Will it eventually lead to problems? Most likely. Will it eventually cause diabetes, or Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s? Well, we do not know that. Everyone is different.

There are obviously other factors beside Head/neck misalignment and the resulting nerve interference that determine whether a person gets sick or not and which disease they manifest, but being under periodic upper cervical care will in all probability increase your chance of staying well. But more important, a more balanced body chemistry will improve the likelihood that you stay healthy just as eating good food, exercising regularly and getting the proper sleep will increase that likelihood. Most important, when your body chemistry is balanced every activity you participate in will be improved.

Upper Cervical Care And Body Chemistry

Better living through chemistry? Remove the question mark from the above and you will be left with the slogan of a major international chemical manufacturing company. The thought was that science could create products that would improve the quality and possibly quantity of life. The basic premise being that science knows what is best for our bodies, that they have the knowledge needed to create chemicals that will perfectly enhance human performance. Judging by the amount of money spent on drugs, medications, vitamins, etc., it appears that the majority of the American population trusts that chemicals from outside of the body will improve life. Yet in matters of life and health, logic, not popularity should be the most valid yardstick for determining how to take care of our bodies. Perhaps we should take a closer look at what is happening on the inside before we decide if chemicals from the outside are the answer.

With even a basic understanding of human physiology, we can understand that all levels of human performance are governed by our internal body chemistry. We cannot do anything without first making a chemical. Our moods, energy level, ability to concentrate, ability to repair damaged tissue, and physical coordination are just some of the many areas of performance that are dependent on body chemistry. The delicate chemical balance within our body can greatly determine how we will function at a given moment or throughout a day, week, year, or even a lifetime.

Many people look to artificially enhance their performance by taking chemicals from outside their body. Years ago, the Russian women’s track and field team won many medals in the Goodwill Games. Later, it was discovered that these “athletes” had artificially enhanced their performance by taking steroids. These chemicals improved their strength, speed and overall athletic ability, but they also received some unwanted benefits (what we often call side effects). Their voices got deeper, they grew facial hair and their bodies became more male-like from the steroids. So after the Goodwill Games committee stripped them of their medals, they had nothing to show for their efforts other than their deep voices and facial hair.

The point of the above example is this: It is true that chemicals from outside of the body can alter and even enhance some areas of a person’s performance. It is important to also recognize though that these same chemicals have affects on other aspects of one’s performance (what many refer to as side effects or adverse reactions). Simply put, you cannot take a chemical from the outside-in without affecting the entire internal balance of body chemistry.

We all express an innate intelligence that maintains our level of performance in all aspects of life. This innate intelligence is expressed through the nerve system (brain, spinal cord and nerves). Through this vast communication network, the innate intelligence of the body maintains the internal chemical balance. As long as the proper information is clearly expressed through the nerve system, the glands will know when, where, and how much of a particular chemical is needed at any given time. The result is not only balanced body chemistry and optimal performance, but no “side effects” as well.

However, if there is interference to the communication system (nerve system) than the body chemistry cannot be balanced naturally and performance in all areas of life suffers. One such type of interference is head/neck misalignment. Upper cervical care assists the body in correcting this type of interference to the nerve system so that the body chemistry may be balanced naturally. Even if you choose to take chemicals from the outside to alter your performance, make sure you do not have interference in the nerve system due to head neck misalignment. That way your body can do its best to maintain the chemical balance that is disrupted by the chemical from the outside-in. So there is better living through chemistry but it is the chemistry your own body produces when it is free of interference.

Upper Cervical Care And The Master Chemist

How’s your body chemistry? When was the last time somebody asked you that? Probably never. People may ask you how you feel or how is your headache or how is your leg doing, but they never ask about your body’s chemistry. Yet that may be the most important factor in your life and health. They do not ask because you cannot not tell them, and you cannot tell them because you just do not know. In fact, no one can really know what their body chemistry should be. You see everyone is different and only your body knows what your own chemistry should be. What is your normal blood sugar, histamine level, adrenaline, cortisone, and serotonin level at this very moment. You don’t know, you can’t know nor can you know what it should be. No one does and there are thousands of other chemicals which are vital to your life and health. Science is not even able to guess what is the average for many of these chemicals, let alone what is normal for any particular person. There are, more than likely, some that have not even been discovered yet. Everyone’s body chemistry is different and everyone reacts differently to changes in body chemistry.

You need look no further than your local bar to prove this point. The consumption of alcohol changes your body chemistry and changes in your body chemistry effect how you react and perform. When some people drink alcohol, changes in their body chemistry makes them belligerent, while others may become mellow. Some become withdrawn, others are the life of a party. Some become somber, almost morose and others laugh and have a good time. Some get sick or have a hangover the next day and others seem to experience no after effects. One thing we do know about alcohol, it effects your judgment, your reflexes, your reaction time and your eye-hand coordination. That is why the law will not allow you to drive a motor vehicle when your blood alcohol level reaches a certain point. But who established that point? Like every chemical, and alcohol is a chemical, the proper level is probably different for everyone. Some people, well within the legal limits for blood alcohol, may still be functioning so poorly that driving an automobile could be fatal. This is but one chemical. There are literally hundreds, maybe thousands of chemicals in the body all of which affect your body’s performance in one way or another.

There is another aspect of body chemistry that is important to your upper cervical doctor. You see the millions of glands and cells that produce all the chemicals in your body are regulated and maintained by the nerve system. You cannot perform any function in life without the production of chemicals. Everything from laughing to sleeping, to digesting food depends upon the production of chemicals and doing those things at your best depends upon having just the right chemicals produced in just the right amounts. If there is an interference in your nerve system due to head/neck misalignment, then your body chemistry is going to be altered and your body will not work as it should. Upper cervical doctors do not know what your body chemistry should be. As we said before, no one but the inner wisdom of your body knows what your body chemistry should be, what chemicals need to be produced, when they are needed and in what amounts. But one thing your upper cervical doctor does know. He or she knows when there is head/neck misalignment, when there is interference in your nerve system that is altering the message from the brain to the millions of little chemical factories in your body and upsetting your body chemistry. What is more, the upper cervical doctor can correct it quickly and efficiently so that your body has the greatest opportunity of normalizing your body chemistry and keeping it normal.
